Reporting to the Managing Director of Sales, the Business Events Specialist plays a key role in growing Kingston's visitor economy by attracting meetings, conferences, conventions, corporate events, and incentive travel programs to the destination. Acting as a destination ambassador and connector, this role builds relationships with meeting planners, event organizers, association leaders, and industry stakeholders to generate qualified leads and increase economic impact for Kingston.

This role is responsible for planning and executing events, as well as developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures that enhance service quality, including improving both external guest experiences and internal collaboration across departments to ensure seamless event delivery and operational excellence. Min. 3-5 years of progressive hotel event management experience required; Hospitality Management Degree or Business Degree equivalent and CMP designation an asset.

You will focus on managing all inbound group, wedding, social and buyout sales inquiries, owning the commercial sales process from initial inquiry through signed contract, including qualification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation and contract execution. Must have 3+ years of experience in group, catering or events sales within a luxury hotel, resort or hospitality setting, with a demonstrated track record of converting inquiries into confirmed contracts.

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering Restaurants Canada’s national trade show and other events. You will act as operational lead across the full event lifecycle, from planning and budgeting through onsite execution, post-event reconciliation, reporting and continuous improvement. Minimum five years of progressive experience in event management, trade shows, conferences, live events, corporate events or event operations required.

This position is responsible for leading a team of conference, events and catering professionals to develop, manage and operationalize exceptional conference, events and catering experiences. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible conference and event management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity required.

Reporting to the Manager of Signature Events, this temporary Event Coordinator position will collaborate with all departments of the University Hospital Foundation (the Foundation) to plan, manage and execute signature and recognition events, most notably the Festival of Trees. Degree or diploma in event management, project management, business or non-profit management, and minimum of three years relevant work experience coordinating and planning events required.

You will be responsible for providing assistance in the successful planning and execution of event initiatives in support of Fidelity Canada’s businesses. Must have 2+ years of administrative/event experience in a corporate environment required, preferably within the financial services industry, and post-secondary education (3-year program minimum) completed or equivalent work experience.

This role is responsible for the vision, governance and execution of all internal and external events, strategic management of the Conference Centre, and the supervision of a dedicated team of four professionals. Must have 10 or more years of experience in strategic event management in a complex corporate environment or at an agency; proven experience in team management and talent development; and excellent command of French and very good command of English, both spoken and written.

You will oversee the full cycle of events and activities for the Lieutenant Governor's Office, from initiation to completion, including coordinating the research, planning, implementation and logistics of the Lieutenant Governor's participation in both community events and events hosted in the Lieutenant Governor's office. Must have the ability to concurrently lead the planning, development and implementation of special events, programs and initiatives.

You will oversee the National Events portfolios and be responsible for the resource planning, escalations, approvals and advisement on a series of events that happen throughout Canada as part of this portfolio. Post-secondary degree/diploma in Event Management, hospitality or another related program; 7-10 years of professional experience in event management in a corporate setting; and a minimum of 5+ years of people leadership required. Remote management an asset.

This position carries full accountability for every event in their portfolio, from first conversation through final invoice. That means hotel coordination, attendee logistics, group air collaboration, platform configuration, reporting, and on-site readiness. Must have 3+ years of experience in event coordination, group travel management, or operations. Experience in a corporate travel or event management environment, ideally in financial services and English/French bilingualism an asset.
