The holidays may be over but it’s still worth stocking up on inspiration for next year.

The Westley Calgary Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton’s first annual tree-lighting event fully captured the spirit of the season. Part of the hotel’s ongoing partnership with the Love for Lewiston Foundation (LFL), Lemon Light Up aimed to educate, create awareness and ultimately raise funds to find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

Inspired by the foundation’s lemonade stand, which is a fixture of its brand, the event featured lemon-themed decor. Attendees bid on the silent auction, purchased lemon cookies and enjoyed live jazz music provided by youth from the Calgary Jazz Orchestra. Cocktails and tapas were provided by Fonda Fora, the hotel’s in-house contemporary Mexican restaurant. And of course, the festivities were punctuated by a tree-lighting ceremony.
