Once the site of a residential school, Ktunaxa elders reclaimed and restored the building to create the St. Eugene Resort that is now a source of hope, strength and pride. The resort is located in the heart of the East Kootenays, five minutes outside of Cranbrook and the Canadian Rockies International Airport. The resort is now offering Ktunaxa Nations’ Indigenous Culture and Awareness Training, designed for corporate groups to deliver engaging content based on recognition, reconciliation and relationship in an unforgettable setting. The resort’s history offers an impactful backdrop for groups to learn about Indigenous culture and world views.
The Indigenous Culture and Awareness Training is a perfect introduction for corporate groups pursuing understanding and sensitivity in their relationships with Indigenous people. The training includes history and a tour of the St. Eugene building, cross-cultural workshop and instruction, traditional games and Indigenous teambuilding activities. Content is balanced between engaging activities and education, and participation in the workshop fulfills a key call to action of Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission to the corporate sector. This multi-faceted workshop examines the legacies of the past, identifies jurisdiction, and generates solutions for economic self-sufficiency and respectful and just relationships with Indigenous groups.
The brainchild of Cirque du Soleil and Lune Rouge founder Guy Laliberté, this new pyramid-shaped venue is located in the Old Port of Montreal. This summer it hosts Through the Echoes, an immersive multi-sensory musical and technological extravaganza exploring the thread of space and time in the cosmos and featuring the latest in digital visual effects, lasers, surround sound and immersive technologies. The PY1 pyramid is perfect for special events, presentations and cocktails with a capacity of 1,000.
