Canadian meetings a $32.2 billion industry
According to a landmark economic study released by Meeting Professionals International Foundation Canada (MPIFC), the meetings sector in Canada generated $32.2 billion in direct spending in 2006. The study, conducted by Maritz Research Canada and the Conference Board of Canada, analyses the direct and indirect benefits that the sector contributes to the Canadian economy, based on 2006 findings.
